For her fall 2012 Whitney Eve collection - her first on the runway - Whitney Port looked to her grandmother's antique kaleidoscope for inspiration. The result was an array of jewel toned prints - from geometric-graphic to impressionistic shattered paisley - in luxe fabrics that graced everything from ruffle puff sleeved mini dresses to deep velvet pants paired with long sleeved peplum blouses.
Port's unique twists on the suit proved to be her standouts - including her show opening ensemble of a graphic painterly printed silk peplum blouse with matching cigarette pants, and two variations on geometric printed blazers with exaggerated hips paired with slightly harem-ish silk pants. For evening options, Whitney Eve offers 20s inspired frocks with geometric beading and the classic wrap dress in a lush camel colored velvet. More casual options include tonal textured stripe knit pants, shorts and cardigans, as well as velvet harem pants, silk printed crop tops, knit mini skirts and cropped printed jackets. A little glitz in the form of a silver sequined blazer and bell pleated shorts added sparkle to the otherwize deeply hued collection. Orange lips, teased hair and platform metallic mary janes completed the looks of this cohesive runway-debut.
