Channeling their distinct rock & roll vibe, Falguni & Shane Peacock turned out a heavy-on-black Fall 2012 collection that screamed punk rock glamazon and glimmered with high futuristic notes. The sharp, body-hugging styles featured a fusion of their signature elements: feathers, sequins, prints — and then some.

Structured silhouettes paired with geometric cutouts and patters and studs lent a tough n’ edgy fervency while asymmetrical hems, hip-high slits and low V-necks kept it feminine; yet another characteristic they are known for: the juxtaposition of contrasting elements. Continuing on this vibe, sheer insets were mixed with slick leathers and velvet, dark designs popped with tribally infused prints and dainty tulle was paired with strong metal plates. To further their vision, models paraded with extra-long, sleek ponytails (complete with metallic strands), drawn on ‘brow crowns’ and fiery red and gold pointed nails, adding a fantastical warrior-esque factor.

Overall, the glamorously dark collection felt organically modern. As the husband and wife duo say, ‘…the transition from chic to edgy, combined with a slightly wicked charm makes [their] clothes perfect for a rock and roll superstar.’ Amen.
