Douglas Hannant’s intimate showing of his diffusion line, Pink, for Fall 2012 took place at EZ Studios and did not disappoint. The sophisticated jackets, skirts, blouses and dresses will unquestionably groom young socialites in preparation to later don his namesake line. The 26-piece collection of well-tailored separates popped, especially the predominant presence of tangerine, against the fittingly hot pink background. Muted tones of cadmium, blood red, creams and black and white were also seen throughout the easy-to-wear collection that was tied artfully together via color blocking, black and white graphics and hints of python and impressionistic prints. Chunky knits, knee-high socks, geek-chic glasses and button and bow details offered playful schoolgirl charm while sleek hair styling reinforced a sense of polished refinement.
