GANT by Michael Bastian presented their Spring/Summer 2013 collection as influenced by Charles Darwin's own Galapagos Islands. The presenation went with the theme Galapagos theme as well. The models, dressed as modern explorers, stood on brightly painted platforms referred to as islands, complete with tropical scenes and animals. Adventurers on other islands were decorated with pieces of rope and rope ladders.
As for the clothes, the color palette was traditional neutrals mixed with brights. There was a lot of blue, grey and taupe along with yellow, orange, red and turquoise. With few patterns, the collection still had GANT signature camouflage and Ecuadorian art inspired knits. As stated at the presentation, the key pieces for men included a madras blazer, camouflage cargos, a turquoise technical parka and a very cool chunky Inca Cardigan. Women's key pieces were a lace-up khaki shirtdress, a fleece sweatshirt wrap cardigan, a mesh pullover with a hood, a shawl collar blazer and leaf print jeans.
