Veronica Beard’s Spring 2014 collection mashes uptown wealth with downtown punk, resulting in the kind of collection that would make this a mini-DvF for the 80’s. Add some high-tech materials, including Scuba gear and translucent python, and the vibrant collection now has a sporty feel.

NYC, 1980s.

The opulence and energy of the city that never sleeps. The uptown girl and her designer excess clashing with the grit of the subway graffiti in the New York underground. The collection is a modern interpretation of the classics in vivid colors and bold prints: gold hardware, perforated leather in wetsuit-inspired silhouettes, 3D leopard prints, neon hot-house florals in scuba, denim leather with mesh, spacer panels.
