For Spring 2014, Titania Inglis adds lattice hardware to her minimalist designs. These structures give an interesting hard futurism to the collection, with some of the pieces described as Cyborg and Laser from the show notes, which follows:
For SS14, Titania found inspiration in Olafur Eliasson’s work with monochrome light and prismatic forms, as well as Buckminster Fuller’s fascination with geometry in nature, channeling that angularity into a series of faceted garments and accessories that mix hard and soft, leather and voile, sturdy metal and whisper-thin waxed cotton cording. Natural dyes are used in unexpected ways: iron lends veg-tanned leather a purple-gray hue, while weld flowers create a vivid lemon yellow on organic cotton jersey and brushed twill.
