Sachin + Babi's Resort 2012 collection takes inpsiratiokn from a recent trip to Spain, where designer Sachin Ahluwalia noticed light reflections in the gothic Barcelona Cathedral.  From the press release, he states "There is no internal lighting in the cathedral.  The natural light flows in through stained glass windows and reflects a brilliant array of pastels across the many different materials used in the grand pillars."  This examination led to a collection of florals and pastels on perforated cottons, linens, silk georgettes, and lightweight knits.  Further inspiration comes from the Las Fallas fire festival in Valencia, where the black base contrasted with the bright florals reflect the traditional costumes of the celebration as worn by women and children.
