For Spring 2012, king of fashion-irony Jeremy Scott went to his roots growing up on a farm outside Kansas City for inspiration. Going for a hillbilly charm at New York's Milk Studios is obviously going to require tons of cowprints & fringe, and yep that was there, along with a bit of 90's nostalgia in the opening oversized denim sequences. The cactus prints and desert colors took the collection through southern Arizona, which could be the exact opposite cultural location from hipster New York. And of course, every collection needs something with chain mail and clear-plastic cutout shorts, and lo, there they are. So, yes, another fun collection from Scott - not for everyone, but entertaining nonetheless.
