Y-3 Fall 2010

A fight broke out at Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 runway show at the New York Armory.  Staged, of course, but this fight between Yamamoto and a couple of his models capped a dark love-and-war theme for this Valentine's day show.  Roses were handed out to audience members by models in prison stripes, masks, and capes. These new elements complemented the traditional (and beautiful) Yamamoto elements of gathered and draped skirts, baggy shorts, overcoats and capes, and overall dark, military-grade themes.  Overall, this Adidas-backed Y-3 collection should hit the spot for its sportier fan-base.
