With a sincere appreciation of the overall 50's trend that's been going around for the last several seasons, Miuccia Prada's Spring 2012 collection represents the movement's artistic peak.  A sweet throwback to an era dominated by big cars and big skirts, the mostly separate pieces here reflect on that with a mix of satin color blocks and soft technicolor prints.  The direct automotive connection through racer flames and heels brilliantly shaped into taillights, all set in a presentation space meant to invoke a garage, prevents the mood from become too soft by adding a masculine element to the role played by the Prada girl.
