Miami designer Lourdes "Luli" Hanimian and her brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian unveiled their 2011 Luli Fama swimwear collection in their home city during Miami swim week. Opening with live singing and dance performance for a collection titled "Dance Luli Dance", the bright, cheerful collection took safety in tropical prints mostly on bikinis. The energetic show had much going for it, including interesting side ties and cutouts on some pieces. With the brightness turned up, it should keep Luli Fama fans happy in their warm, happy climates.

FutureClaw was able to chat with Luli Fama designer Lourdes "Luli" Haniman after her runway show in Miami.

MEGAN - Congratulations on a really fun show. We've had a little performance, we had a little dancing going on, and we do know that it is called Dance Luli Dance, so what is the inspiration behind this?

LOURDES - The whole inspiration is a trip to the Caribbean, leaving Miami, and going all over the Caribbean, having a great time, partying, dancing, being in the sun, and just having a great, great time, then coming back in our hometown in Miami.

MEGAN How does it feel to be showing in Miami.

LOURDES - Oh it's just amazing. It's our backyard, and its just great. People come from all over the world, and we live here, and it's just great to be here.

MEGAN We've had a few different collections it seems. How do we pull them all together?

LOURDES - Well, if you look at everything, everything is tied together, either by color, or by elements, and accent pieces. So we kept a lot of the blues, and the fuchsias, and corals, which all go back to the beach and sunsets, which all go back together.
