The ten year’s Glenda Bailey has helmed the historic Harper’s Bazaar have undoubtedly been some of the magazine’s most visually provocative. From now until January 8th, fangirls and boys can immerse themselves in the stunning images of the last decade, all of which reflect some of the best work of contemporary fashion photographers.

Like her famous coif, the Daphne Guinness exhibit on display now at the Museum at FIT exudes both light and darkness. 

Among artists, paper as a medium of expression often finds itself second to the more popular mediums of sculpture and painting, even though its primary role is to capture an artist's initial ideas.  Meanwhile, paper's responsiveness and intuitive form have enabled countless artists throughout the centuries.  To reflect on paper's role in the arts, NYU's 80WSE Galleries presents Papertails, an exhibit curated by Kiki Smith and Valerie Hammond. 

Starting from a position as an ad executive for New York's Chandelier Creative, Lorenzo Martone has developed into a New York icon within a few short years.  

Steven Sebring's career as a photographer has brought him close to some of the world's most influential artists and poets.  For a new exhibition at Milk Studios, the photographer looks back at some of his own personal favorites in a selection of portraits entitled Illumination: Who are poets.  Featuring Jim Carroll, Joey Ramone, Patti Smith, Michael Stipe, Philip Glass, and Richard Hell, the series experiments with digital abstraction on portraits originally taken on film and Polaroids.  We chatted with Steven as he was preparing for his exhibit's opening.

Niki Taylor is an icon. The celebrated supermodel is familiar to anybody with a passing interest in American pop culture.  Much has already been said of her triumphs and tragedies over two decades of continuous exposure in the national spotlight, so when FutureClaw was given the opportunity to work with her, we decided to put together a photo-shoot inspired by tribal looks to reference the spiritual being within such storied figure.
