Coco Rocha: Letters to Haiti

WORDS - CLAIRE HANAN, PHOTOS COURTESY COCO ROCHA

Saddened to learn of the continuing deprivation in earthquake-ravaged Haiti, models Coco Rocha and Behati Prinsloo collected hundreds of letters friom all over the world offering encouragement, well-wishes and most importantly, sentiments of hopeful solidarity. "Letters to Haiti" documents their trip to deliver the letters and is directed by Rocha's husband, filmmaker James Conran.

The event was held at fashion-favorite Milk Studios and welcomed multitudes of the downtown set for a viewing of the film and a silent auction of Prinsloo's black and white prints of the Haitian children. All proceeds from the auction benefit LakayPam, the organization Rocha partnered with to deliver the letters and help raise funds.

From fellow models Hilary Rhoda and Karlie Kloss to designers Zac Posen and Rebecca Minkoff, the studio was filled with well-heeled supporters and friends. The thoughtfully-composed film, powerful photographs and gracious hostesses ultimately made for an undeniably successful event.
