Aqua di Lara Swimwear 2011
Canadian designer Reyhan Sofraci showed her Aqua di Lara 2011 swimwear line in Miami while also introducing a new diffusion swimwear label Qiss Qiss. The Aqua di Lara line continues the brand's sleek, futuristic look, using strong alpha woman themes defined by jewel tones on shiny fabrics.
The collection, set as seven separate stories tied together through women's empowerment, formed a very classical and structured look throughout the line. Great strategically placed hardware details on some bikinis and mesh banding added some eroticism to the line. One miscalculated exception was the shoulder draping on one swimsuit a piece that would be more appropriate for an ice skater or an acrobat. Trendy high-waists shows up again in this line, with one cute look formed by an upper midriff cutout.
